About the Role: 

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic HR Manager to lead our human resources initiatives at Rekise Marine in our Bangalore office. As a rapidly expanding startup, this is an exciting chance to develop and define the people strategy for a leading marine robotics company. You will work closely with the founding members and leadership team to design HR processes, foster a positive work culture, and support the growth of a high-performing team. Your role will be essential in ensuring that our employees feel valued, motivated, and aligned with our mission to revolutionize marine autonomy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a technology-focused or startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance.


Roles and responsibilities: 

  • Recruitment & Hiring: Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring. Collaborate with tech / non-tech leads to understand and meet required skills and competencies. 
  • Retention: Implement and manage benefits, compensation, and incentive programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate new-hire orientations, conduct onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
  • Employee Relations & HR Operations: Handle employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and other HR-related processes. Provide support to employees on various HR topics and ensure a positive workplace environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations. Regularly review and update HR policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • HR Documentation & Record-Keeping: Manage HR documentation and data management. Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and local employment laws.
  • Office Administration: Provide general administrative support, including managing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and ensuring the smooth operation of office functions.
  • Employee engagement and wellness. Organize regular team meetings, outings, parties, and get-togethers.
  • Work Culture: Cultivate a positive work culture that emphasizes employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and well-being


Good to Have:

  • Experience in hiring for technology or robotics-based roles.
  • Exposure to creating and managing HR analytics and reporting to inform business decisions.
