Job OverviewThe primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounting, general ledger, month-end closing, and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP principles.Prepare accurate profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports.Ensure proper revenue recognition for B2B, managed services, and subscription products.Cannabis-Specific Financial Compliance:Apply IRC Section 280E rules to ensure compliant tax positioning and minimize potential risks.Manage cost of goods sold (COGS) allocations for cultivation, processing, and retail operations.Work with METRC/seed-to-sale data to validate inventory valuation and audit trails.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A:Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario models, and financial dashboards to inform business decisions.Provide insights on margins, pricing models, and operational KPIs to optimize financial performance.Lead financial planning for new product launches and expansion initiatives.Cash Flow & Operational Finance:Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, and cash-flow planning to ensure efficient financial operations.Improve working capital processes and implement financial controls to mitigate risk.Implement automation tools and tech-based financial workflows to enhance efficiency.Strategic Projects:Evaluate technology investments, process automation, and financial systems to identify areas for improvement.Support financial due diligence, partnerships, and growth initiatives through strategic financial planning.Drive financial SOPs, internal controls, and audit readiness to ensure a stable financial environment.
