If so, we want you on our team As a Lead Developer for Gas Power New Unit Pricing, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our software tools that ensure we offer the most optimized gas turbine plant configurations and accurate budgetary quotations to our customers.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Design, develop, and maintain software tools used for gas turbine plant cost estimation and configuration optimization.Cost Estimating: Apply your engineering expertise to integrate accurate cost estimating methodologies into our software.Innovation: Continuously explore and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve our pricing models and software capabilities.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, cost estimators, and sales, to ensure our software meets business needs.Domain Expertise: Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in gas turbine technology and cost estimating practices.Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience: Proven experience ( 5+ year) in software development and cost estimating, preferably within the gas turbine or power generation industry.Skills:Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, C++, or Java.Strong understanding of gas turbine plant design and cost estimation principles.Experience with database management and SQL.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Soft Skills:Passion for learning and growing domain expertise.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to lead and inspire a team.Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve resultsStrong, proven previous leadership capabilities; leading teams (directly or indirectly) and driving changeDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
