JOB OVERVIEW

As a Senior Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineer, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our organization's infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives. This hybrid role combines responsibilities from both Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and Senior Infrastructure Engineer positions, encompassing a wide array of technical leadership tasks.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


  • Lead infrastructure implementations and manage various cloud-based technologies, including Networking, AWS, Backup tools, DLP, SSO, MDM, Directory Services, Email & Email Protection, SIEM tools, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft security and compliance tools.
  • Develop, implement, and manage infrastructure policies, standards, and controls.
  • Monitor infrastructure operations and technologies, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing infrastructure configurations across the organization.
  • Design and implement robust processes and practices which include asset management, patch management, vulnerability management, privileged access management, monitoring, alert handling, security awareness training, phish testing, and data backup and disaster recovery.
  • Work with infrastructure providers to deliver necessary services, manage contracts, and uphold service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, fostering an environment where employees and vendors adhere to cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to assist in the development and maintenance of the organization's cybersecurity program.


Job Description


  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
  • Assist in monitoring cybersecurity operations, responding to potential threats and alerts, and developing standards and guidelines for response and remediation.
  • Oversee and actively engage with security service providers to deliver essential services.
  • Serve as an advisory lead on cybersecurity matters, ensuring security integration in process designs and architecture.
  • Develop and implement company-wide/departmental information security training and awareness programs.
  • Actively promote and support the cybersecurity and infrastructure initiatives of the organization.
  • Working Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours are mandatory, as these are core business hours for clients in this time zone.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends to provide support as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 7+ years of experience in developing infrastructure, managing IT solutions and projects, and implementing cybersecurity measures.
  • Advanced technical background in networking, virtualization, cloud computing, data centers, systems security, and application security.
  • Proficiency in Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools, endpoint detection and response tools, vulnerability management suites, and various security solutions.
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks, best practices, and administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, with experience in common security frameworks such as NIST preferred.
  • Experience with incident response management, next-gen firewalls, web application firewalls, multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with active-listening abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and quality guidelines (GxP) is a plus.
