Job description

Overview: As a Technical Presales Engineer specializing in IT Infrastructure, you will be instrumental in driving business growth by providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales phase. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, design infrastructure solutions, and deliver compelling proposals tailored to meet clients' needs. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Engagement:
- Engage with prospective clients to comprehend their business objectives, technical challenges, and infrastructure requirements.
- Conduct discovery sessions to gather detailed information about existing infrastructure, applications, and IT workflows.
- Solution Design:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized IT infrastructure solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Design comprehensive architecture diagrams and technical proposals outlining the recommended infrastructure solutions.
- Provide technical guidance on the selection of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and backup solutions.
- Technical Presentations:
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of proposed IT infrastructure solutions.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition and competitive advantages of the recommended infrastructure offerings.
- Address technical inquiries and concerns raised by customers during presentations and meetings.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development:
- Lead the development and execution of proof of concept (PoC) projects to validate the feasibility and performance of proposed IT infrastructure solutions.
- Work closely with customers to configure, deploy, and test infrastructure environments according to their specific use cases.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering, to ensure alignment between customer requirements and technical solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall technical expertise of the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a technical presales or solutions engineering role, focusing on IT infrastructure solutions.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and backup/recovery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with customers and establish trusted advisor relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design innovative infrastructure solutions to address customer challenges.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools for infrastructure deployment and management is a plus.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and proposals.
