Portfolio Management SpecialistThis role is pivotal in capturing, analyzing, and maintaining application metadata to assess current technology usage, align future business requirements, and guide decisions on modernization, consolidation, or new application development.The Portfolio Management Specialist will be responsible for:Metadata Governance: Populate and maintain accurate application data within the portfolio management system, including ownership, lifecycle, business capabilities, and technical attributes. Ensure completeness and consistency of metadata across the application portfolio.Application Optimization: Evaluate applications for business value (e.g., strategic alignment, user impact, cost efficiency), assess technical value (e.g., scalability, integration readiness, security posture, supportability), and identify candidates for retirement, consolidation, or modernization.Technology Roadmapping & Future Planning: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to map future business requirements to existing technologies, support decision-making on whether to enhance current platforms or build new applications.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with application owners, enterprise architects, and business analysts to gather insights and validate data. Facilitate workshops and reviews to ensure alignment on application strategy and lifecycle decisions.Reporting & Insights: Generate dashboards and reports from the portfolio management system to support executive decision-making, provide insights into portfolio health, redundancy, risk, and optimization opportunities.The essential requirements of the job include:4+ years of experience in portfolio management, enterprise architecture, or IT asset management.Hands-on experience with portfolio management tools.Strong understanding of application lifecycle, business capability modeling, and technology stack analysis.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK).
