If you're looking to work flexibly and with purpose, join a team that delivers measurable change for millions.The RoleThe Manager, TSU (Program Operations) will provide technical and operational support for the pilot and scale-up of in-line chlorination devices (ILC) as part of our India's Safe Water program in Odisha. Reporting to the Senior Manager TSU (Team Lead), this role will focus on program operations, device demonstrations, troubleshooting, and technical assistance to the Odisha Rural Water Supply & Sanitation (RWSS) department. This is a field-intensive role requiring up to 50% travel within the state to support implementation across Single Village and Multi Village water supply schemes.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical assistance to Odisha RWSS engineers and contractors in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ILC devices across the stateConduct field visits and oversee device demonstrations across diverse Single Village and Multi Village scheme typesSupport RWSS in monitoring and reporting device performance, including chlorine dosing levels and functionalityAssist in developing SOPs, training modules, and IEC materials for pump operators, contractors, and engineersProvide inputs into state O&M frameworks and contribute to technical recommendations on device efficacy and suitabilitySupport the Senior Manager in preparing technical documentation, progress reports, and dashboards for the departmentBuild working relationships with RWSS engineers, contractors, and local institutions to strengthen implementation capacityEnsure timely collection and reporting of field data for monitoring and evaluation purposesRequirementsEssential5-7 years of experience in the water, sanitation, or WASH sector including 3 years in large-scale program operations and implementationPMU or government advisory related experience with state government departments in OdishaExpert proficiency in Oriya (spoken and written)Strong project management skills with ability to develop and implement plans, maintain project trackers, and report progress on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basisStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report writing skillsGood communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with government officials and internal team membersProficiency in MS Excel (advanced) and Google SheetsWillingness to travel within Odisha up to 50% of the timeDesirableBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field)Master's degree in Public Policy, Management, Public Health, Water Resources, or a related fieldPrior experience working with RWSS or related government departmentsExperience in rural water infrastructure and treatment, O&M of piped water supplyProficiency in Power BI/Tableau and statistical software (R/Stata)Expert written and verbal proficiency in English and Hindi\Disclaimer:The job description provided above is a general outline of the typical responsibilities and requirements for the role.
