DataGenie's domain-agnostic algorithm learns rapidly from legacy data and provides insights autonomously, supported by root-causes.


Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with 10+ years of expertise to work with us on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing efficient APIs using Node.js, Typescript, and PostgreSQL. They should have a proven track record of working with complex systems, including APIs that:


• Fetch data from multiple tables using JOIN and Indexing.

• Internally call other microservices to fetch and combine data into a JSON response.


Additionally, the candidate should have experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and follow best coding and development practices.


Responsibilities


• Develop robust and scalable backend APIs.

• Optimize database queries using JOIN and Indexing for performance.

• Integrate APIs with other microservices to fetch and aggregate data.

• Ensure code quality through best practices and maintain proper documentation.

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively, given the freelance nature of the role.


Requirements


• 10+ years of experience in backend development.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with microservices architecture and internal API communication.

• Proficiency in database query optimization using JOIN and Indexing.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline creation.

• Adequate availability for freelance work apart from full-time commitments.

• Knowledge of best practices in software development, including code versioning and security.
