The Responsible AI Foundation (RAIF) is a mission-driven organization working at the intersection of AI, ethics, and governance. We help organizations—especially startups and SMBs—adopt AI responsibly through research, assessments, consulting, and certifications aligned with global frameworks.

We're looking for a technically skilled AI Researcher & Writer who can dig deep into the evolving AI ecosystem and communicate insights in a clear, structured, and compelling way. This role is ideal for someone who loves both technical depth and thoughtful writing.

About the Role:

As our AI Researcher & Writer, you'll play a key role in building RAIF's research backbone and shaping how AI tools, platforms, and policies are understood by businesses and the broader public. You'll work on original research, comparative analyses, tool assessments, and thought leadership content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep research on AI tools (LLMs, AI writers, VMS, email assistants, etc.) and frameworks
  • Develop structured assessment and evaluation reports using parameters like accuracy, fairness, explainability, and compliance
  • Stay up to date with global Responsible AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, ISO 42001)
  • Translate technical and regulatory content into well-organized white papers, reports, blogs, and explainers
  • Collaborate with our consulting and certification teams to produce aligned content
  • Contribute to building RAIF's Knowledge Hub and research methodologies

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong technical foundation in AI/ML, Computer Science, or Data Science (degree required)
  • Proven experience (1–3 years) in AI research, tool analysis, or policy-tech intersections
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and frameworks
  • Excellent writing skills — ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with comparative analysis, white papers, or academic/research content

Bonus If You Have:

  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST, ISO)
  • A Master's or equivalent experience in a relevant tech discipline
  • A genuine interest in the ethical and societal impact of AI
