Transformers SpecialistA well-funded early-stage company is seeking an experienced transformers specialist to build and train large language models (LLMs).The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep learning, with experience training transformers or large DNNs from scratch or checkpoints. Proficiency in PyTorch, Hugging Face, and other relevant technologies is required.About the Role:We are looking for a talented individual who can design and implement custom training loops using PyTorch, Hugging Face, and other tools. The successful candidate will work closely with founders to develop scalable training infrastructure and evaluate LLMs for reasoning and code comprehension.Responsibilities:Design and implement custom training loops using PyTorch, Hugging Face, and other tools.Train LLMs using RL algorithms such as PPO/GRPO/RLHF/RLVR and PEFT (Lo RA, QLo RA, Do RA, IA3).Build evaluation suites for reasoning and code comprehension.Develop scalable training infrastructure using FSDP/Deep Speed and distributed training.Evaluate LLMs for reasoning and code comprehension.Qualifications:3+ years of real deep learning experience (actual model training)Strong fundamentals: linear algebra, probability, optimization, statisticsProven experience training transformers or large DNNs from scratch or checkpointsProficiency in PyTorch, Hugging Face, and other relevant technologiesResearch exposure (publications/preprints) or strong open-source workBenefits:High-impact role shaping core training architectureDirect work with founders; high ownership and technical depthOpportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projectsNice to Have:Experience implementing RL algorithms or custom training pipelinesLong-context modeling experienceProgram analysis / AST tooling],
