Role Overview:

The Senior GIS and AI/ML Expert will advise on our GIS-based crop monitoring platform, integrating AI/ML models to provide real-time, actionable insights for farmers and policymakers. This individual should have a strong background in academic research or policy advisory, with the ability to influence and engage with government bodies to drive widespread adoption of our solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver high-impact presentations and represent the company at government forums, academic conferences, and policy advisory meetings.
  • Advice on the design and development of advanced GIS and AI/ML models for crop monitoring, precision agriculture, and environmental analysis.
  • Provide strategic advice on how AI and GIS technology can address critical agricultural challenges faced by the government, helping in formulating relevant policies.
  • Build and nurture relationships with government agencies, research institutions, and academic partners to promote and implement our solutions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and agronomists to refine AI models for specific use cases, including crop health monitoring, yield predictions, and climate risk assessments.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI and GIS technologies, recommending new methodologies and strategies to improve the accuracy and scalability of our platform.
  • Lead research initiatives that demonstrate the real-world impact of our solution, resulting in white papers, academic publications, and policy briefings.
  • Engage in thought leadership, including writing articles, giving talks, and influencing key decision-makers in the agriculture technology space.


Qualifications:


  • Deep understanding of remote sensing, satellite imagery (optical, SAR, thermal), geospatial data analytics, and AI/ML algorithms.
  • Strong network and influence within government bodies, agriculture ministries, research institutions, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence policy decisions and work with government officials on technology-driven agricultural solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and public-speaking skills; able to engage with diverse audiences, including government and academic professionals.
