Data Governance Functional Lead plays a pivotal role in establishing governance frameworks, facilitating business workshops and partnering with technical teams to operationalize governance using specialized tools and platforms.Lead Data Governance Initiatives: Develop, implement and institutionalize data governance frameworks, policies and processes across business units by collaborating with stakeholders to define governance objectives, roles and ownership models.Facilitate Business Workshops: Conduct workshops with clients to establish governance frameworks, facilitate stakeholder collaboration and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Establish Governance Council: Help set up and formalize the Data Governance Council by documenting charters, roles, responsibilities and governance operating models, ensuring effective governance and compliance.Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with data engineering, architecture and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog and Informatica, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.Drive AI Governance: Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring adherence to organizational policies, ethical AI use and regulatory compliance.The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise, exceptional communication skills and experience in setting up governance councils, policies and AI governance practices within an enterprise environment. They should be able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, communicate complex ideas and drive results-oriented initiatives.
