Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as the Head of Security. The ideal candidate is a retired officer from the Army or Navy, holding a senior rank, with extensive experience in strategic security management, risk assessment, and leadership. The Security Head will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, managing a security team, and ensuring the safety and security of our organization’s personnel, assets, and operations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Security Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

• Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential security threats, and implement measures to mitigate risks.

• Crisis Management: Lead the organization’s crisis management efforts, including the development of emergency response plans and conducting regular drills.

• Security Operations: Oversee daily security operations, ensuring that all security protocols are strictly followed and that any incidents are promptly addressed.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the security team, ensuring that all members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, to enhance the organization’s security posture.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage the security department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

• Compliance: Ensure the organization’s security practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies, including surveillance systems, access controls, and cybersecurity measures.

• Reporting: Regularly report to senior management on security status, incidents, and improvements.


Qualifications:

• Military Background: Retired Army or Navy officer with a senior rank (e.g., Colonel, Brigadier, Captain, or equivalent).

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in security management, including experience in crisis management, risk assessment, and leadership.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team in high-pressure situations.

• Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate security risks.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern security technologies and systems, including cybersecurity measures.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Relevant certifications in security management are an advantage.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in corporate or industrial security post-military service.

• Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar.


Working Conditions:

• Work Environment: Office setting with occasional site visits and travel as required.
