We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our dairy production facility in Zambia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, quality control, supply chain management, and staff performance, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in line with industry standards.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Lead the overall operations of the dairy plant, ensuring optimal production, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing profitability.
- Oversee production planning, inventory management, and logistics to ensure seamless product supply to the market.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
- Manage and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set and execute long-term strategic goals and objectives for the business.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, and regulatory bodies.
*Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or related field (MBA or similar qualifications preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the dairy or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of dairy production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Proven track record in driving operational efficiency, cost control, and team leadership.
- In-depth understanding of local regulations and international standards within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
