Job Title: Learning and Development Manager
Location: Kinshasa, DR Congo
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Training Needs Assessment:
Conduct thorough analyses to identify training and development needs across various departments and levels within the organization.
Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to determine specific skills gaps and future training requirements.
Training Calendar and Program Development:
Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive annual training calendar aligned with organizational goals and employee needs.
Create and oversee engaging training programs and workshops that address identified needs, including leadership development, technical skills, and soft skills.
Performance Management:
Support the performance management process by developing tools and resources that enhance employee performance and career progression.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on employee performance and organizational objectives.
Training Delivery and Facilitation:
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed, ensuring high-quality delivery and engagement.
Partner with external trainers, consultants, and vendors to enhance the learning experience and introduce new methodologies.
Retention Strategy Development:
Work closely with the HR team to identify trends in employee attrition and develop targeted strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Create initiatives that promote career development and growth opportunities, reducing turnover and increasing job satisfaction.
Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report on training metrics, including attendance, feedback, and effectiveness, to measure the success of learning initiatives.
Provide regular updates to senior management on training outcomes and areas for improvement.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure that all training programs comply with local regulations and company policies.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in learning and development to continuously improve our programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning and Development, with a proven track record in needs assessment, training design, and performance management, preferably in a conglomerate or large, diverse organization.
Skills:
Strong understanding of instructional design and training methodologies.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
