About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Sales Manager to lead and manage our direct sales team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales management, a strong grasp of the sales process, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth. This leadership role requires a candidate who can develop and implement effective sales strategies, mentor a high-performing sales team, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Design and execute comprehensive direct sales strategies aligned with company revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand market share and business growth.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the direct sales team to meet and surpass sales goals.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to enhance the team's skills and performance levels.
- Sales Performance Monitoring:
- Track and evaluate sales metrics to assess performance and identify improvement areas.
- Present regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective account management and issue resolution.
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline the sales process to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement industry best practices and sales tools to enhance team productivity.
- Market Analysis and Competitor Intelligence:
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
- Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and broader business objectives.
- Provide feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing efforts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; Engineering background preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior sales management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Strategic thinker with a history of developing and executing successful sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Data-driven with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
