Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Aswin Cold Forge Private Limited in Ambattur. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for equipment maintenance, maintenance engineering, mechanical maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues in cold forging machines, CNC machines, and other mechanical equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance plans to minimize machine downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Machine Upgrades & Modifications: Assist in the installation, upgrades, and modifications of mechanical systems to improve performance.
- Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance.
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Actively contribute to the TPM process, ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained at peak efficiency through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to mechanical systems and procedures to increase productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and part replacements.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (required).
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the cold forging or CNC machining industry is a must.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of cold forging machines, CNC machines, and mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance planning and adherence to schedules.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems is a plus.
