Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Aswin Cold Forge Private Limited. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance on electrical systems, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical equipment at the manufacturing facility in Ambattur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in machinery and equipment, including cold forging machines and CNC machines.
- Breakdown (BD) Analysis : Analyze electrical breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) : Ensure strict adherence to preventive maintenance schedules to avoid equipment failures and reduce operational disruptions.
- Routine Inspections : Perform regular electrical inspections on machinery and systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Actively contribute to the TPM process, ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained at peak efficiency through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
- System Upgrades : Assist in the installation, testing, and upgrading of electrical systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including troubleshooting logs, repairs, and part replacements.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines while performing electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required).
- Experience : 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Skills : Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, BD analysis, and PM adherence. Proficiency with electrical systems, machinery, and diagnostic tools.
- Personal Attributes : Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance planning and adherence to schedules.
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, and control circuits is a plus.
