We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Product Design Engineer - Mechanical with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing complex robotic and electro-mechanical products. The ideal candidate will excel in crafting innovative solutions featuring intricate linkage mechanisms and motion systems while ensuring precision and quality in design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative product designs for highly complex robotic and electro-mechanical systems, incorporating linkage mechanisms and dynamic motion elements.
- Apply GD&T principles and conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precision in designs and manufacturability.
- Select and recommend appropriate materials to optimize performance, durability, and cost.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, software, and manufacturing, for seamless product integration.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Lead design reviews and optimize concepts to meet functional, aesthetic, and usability standards.
- Ensure designs align with industry standards, with knowledge of ISO 13485 being a valuable advantage.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate new ideas into the design process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in designing complex robotic or electro-mechanical systems.
- Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection.
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD software.
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- A track record of creativity and innovation in product design.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 standards is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in designing medical devices or assistive technology products.
Additional Requirements:
- This role is based in Coimbatore.
- Candidates ready to relocate to Coimbatore and immediately available to join will be given priority.
