Desktop Support Specialist Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing second-level technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals.Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues escalated from the L1 support team. You will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software applications, and system updates.In addition, you will perform root cause analysis to identify recurring technical problems and develop solutions. You will also be expected to assist with network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.You will work collaboratively with the IT team on projects, upgrades, and implementations. You will maintain accurate records of work performed, issues, and resolutions using the company's ticketing system.You will provide remote support and troubleshooting for users working from home or in the field. You will train and mentor junior support technicians as needed.You will ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and best practices.
