Role Overview:


As our Packaging, Sourcing, and Design Specialist, you will play a key role in sourcing innovative packaging solutions and ensuring they align with our brand ethos. From jars to pouches and beyond, you’ll identify and work with suppliers to secure the best materials and designs, blending functionality, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness. You’ll also collaborate with our design team to ensure the packaging reflects Protein World’s vibrant and playful identity.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:

  • Identify and source packaging materials (e.g., jars, pouches, bottles) that meet Protein World’s quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international packaging suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

2. Packaging Design Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and functional packaging that aligns with Protein World’s branding.
  • Provide technical input on design feasibility, material suitability, and production efficiency.
  • Ensure packaging designs comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

3. Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated on packaging trends and innovations, especially in the nutritional supplements industry.
  • Propose and implement sustainable packaging solutions that reflect Protein World’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

4. Quality Control and Compliance:

• Oversee quality assurance for packaging materials, ensuring consistency and durability.

• Ensure all packaging meets regulatory requirements for domestic and export markets.

5. Project Management:

  • Manage packaging projects from concept to delivery, coordinating with suppliers, production teams, and designers to meet deadlines.
  • Optimize packaging processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in packaging sourcing, procurement, or development, preferably in the health, nutrition, or FMCG sectors.
  • Experience working with a variety of packaging formats (e.g., jars, pouches, bottles).
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and packaging design projects.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging solutions and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging in India and international markets.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator) is a plus.
