Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.Responsibilities:The Instructional Design Associate develops web-based, instructor-led, blended instruction, self-study, and virtual-session learning solutions within Lilly's Learning & Development technology environment.This position is responsible for receiving learning objectives and other source content from Lilly business area L&D leads and subject matter experts (the internal "clients") and organizing the learning targets into a logical, instructional flow, appropriate for the culture and level of expertise of the end user/learner. The Instructional Design Associate works with learning professionals in LRL, Global Services, and Manufacturing & Quality and functional business partners to assess critical business needs and recommend learning solutions that address capability and competency gaps.Revising or redeveloping learning solutions in response to feedback from the clientAssessing source content and proposing learning solution that includes accessibilityIdentifying other recommended course revisions and partnering with the business client to identify needed changesDefining learning objectives and instructional design documentationResponding to client design needs including escalations and risk inquiries related to the design and client subject matter expert issuesDelivering quality projects on time, within budget.Uploading content to appropriate content infrastructure sites, L&D content repositories, and Learning Management Systems as neededSupporting file naming, Lilly Branding and design guidelines in L&D contentComplying with all policies and standardsPerforming other duties as assignedBasic Requirements: Bachelors Degree (or equivalent work experience)M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Performance Technology, Adult Learning, or related experience/education.Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Certification.5 years experience as learning professional in regulated environment.Additional Preferences: Experience with content authoring tools, such as Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, WalkMeWritten and verbal English proficiencyDemonstrated skills in strategic thinking, leadership, and proactive strategic learning and development consultationExperience with learning, development, and standard operating procedure based business processesExperience implementing learning interventions to meet accessibility requirements (such as WCAG)Experience managing translations in learning deliverablesDemonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, judgment and managing ambiguity for effective results in complex, resource-constrained situationsAbility and willingness to challenge business leadership regarding ways to use learning interventions to most effectively meet business requirementsExperience with Microsoft tools, including Sharepoint, Teams and FormsDemonstrated experience in instructional design, analysis, and evaluation.Ability to effectively partner globally.Ability to navigate complex, matrix-based organizations.Exchanges complex information and ideas effectively.Knowledge of companion systems used to execute common business and L&D processes (such as SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Quality Docs).Strong organizational skills.Flexibility and creativity.Additional InformationFlexibility in schedule is necessary as needed to collaborate with business partners in multiple time zonesLilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions.
