Overview:


The senior manager will lead a team of performance marketers and SEO experts to drive

digital campaigns for various schools under the GITAM, deemed to be a university. This

senior management role involves developing and overseeing strategies, managing a team of

performance marketers, and optimizing campaigns to achieve key metrics such as CTR,

registrations, applications, and admissions. The incumbent will collaborate closely with

internal stakeholders and ensure all campaigns align with GITAM’s broader marketing

objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Led, mentored, and manage a team of performance marketers and SEO experts to execute high-performing digital campaigns across multiple programs/schools at
  • GITAM Deemed to be University.
  • Develop and implement holistic performance marketing strategies across all digital channels to drive lead generation, student acquisition, and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as admissions and academics, to obtain insights for precise targeting and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Increase website ranking on search engines like Google.
  • Perform on-page optimization for search engine marketing.
  • Conduct audits to address technical SEO issues.
  • Oversee the execution, optimization, and analysis of campaigns across platforms like
  • Google, Meta, Bing, etc., ensuring they meet business goals.
  • Ensure the creation of engaging and relevant content across various platforms for the assigned schools/programs.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis, keyword research, and implement data-driven recommendations to stay ahead in the market.
  • Monitor and manage large-scale campaign budgets (6.00+ crores) to ensure optimal return on investment (ROI).
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and align the team’s performance with GITAM’s overall marketing and business goals.
  • Manage affiliate partnerships with education platforms like Shiksha, Collegedunia, and Careers360.
  • Negotiate placements (inventories) for optimal lead generation.


Required Skills


  • Experience : 10+ years of performance marketing experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing a team of performance marketers and large-scale digital campaigns.
  • Strategy Development: Proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies for large campaigns and multiple channels.
  • Team Management: Strong ability to mentor, develop, and manage a team of performance marketers, ensuring consistent output and high performance.
  • Multi-Channel Marketing: Expertise in managing campaigns across platforms like Google, Meta, Bing, with advanced knowledge of audience segmentation, bidding strategies, and paid media optimization.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and other performance measurement tools to drive campaign decisions and improvements.
  • Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Management: Expertise in handling PPC campaigns, including keyword research, bidding strategies, and campaign optimization on platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Extensive experience in managing marketing budgets, ensuring high ROI, and optimizing spend across multiple channels.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and align digital marketing campaigns with overall business objectives.
  • Bid Management Tools/ Key word planning tools: Expertise in bid management platforms such as Kenshoo, Marin Software, or WordStream for optimizing multi-channel paid campaigns and proficiency in keyword planning tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): Proficient in setting up and managing tags, triggers, and variables to ensure efficient data tracking.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong skills in analyzing KPIs, such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, to continuously improve campaign performance and report on outcomes.
  • Technical Knowledge : Functional understanding of HTML, CSS, and back-end SEO elements (e.g., .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata). In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking methods, and site speed optimization.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Experience in conducting A/B tests and optimizing landing pages, ad copy, and creatives for maximum performance.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with and respond to the latest trends, platforms, and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to develop creative, high-impact campaigns that resonate with the target audience while delivering on business metrics.
