Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant Executive to join our dynamic team at Universal Software. As an IT company, we operate in a fast-paced environment, providing cutting-edge solutions and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in accounting principles, and capable of managing multiple financial tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel (Telly Prime V lookup, Pivot table)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) will be an advantage.
