Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Piping Design & Stress AnalysisLocation: Pune, India (with initial integration period in Spain – up to 4 months)Employment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: EngineeringOur client is expanding their engineering team to support a major plant expansion project. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and help build long-term engineering capability within the team. The role begins with an integration period in Spain, where you’ll align with central engineering teams on tools, processes, and expectations. After this period, you will continue working from Pune with full ownership of deliverables and a clear mandate to drive the project forward.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret P&IDs and 3D layout drawings to develop accurate piping routesPerform piping stress calculations and pipe support analysisModel piping systems in AutoCAD and Plant 3DPrepare pre-manufacturing isometric drawings for fabricationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teamsParticipate in online management meetings and schedule reviewsOwn and deliver assigned objectives with accountability for quality and timelinesContribute to the development of scalable engineering capabilityAdapt to evolving project requirements with professionalismQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineProficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3DExperience with piping stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE)Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.)Ability to interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, and isometricsExcellent communication skills and cultural sensitivityEssential AttributesExperience with pipe rack design and modular support systemsSelf-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to work independently while staying connected to global teamsStrong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindsetProven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressureCommitment to personal ownership and schedule disciplinePreferred AttributesFamiliarity with industrial plant operationsSpanish language capabilityWhy Join?This is a rare opportunity to work on a high-impact project, develop engineering expertise, and be part of a collaborative international team.
