Zeno is seeking a Battery Technician to support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of lithium-ion battery packs for electric motorcycles. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, Zeno is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.The RoleZeno is seeking a Battery Technician / Intern to support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of lithium-ion battery packs for electric motorcycles. This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in EV battery systems and learn from senior engineers in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.What You’ll DoConduct BMS firmware testing and process field data analysis.Assist in the assembly and disassembly of battery modules and packs.Conduct basic electrical and mechanical testing of battery components.Support battery validation and testing activities, including charge/discharge cycles and thermal monitoring.Maintain accurate records of tests, measurements, and observations.Assist in troubleshooting field and lab battery issues under guidance.Follow safety protocols & best practices for handling high-voltage battery systems.Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement improvements in battery handling and testing procedures.Support inventory and management of battery components and tools.What You BringDiploma, degree, or ongoing studies in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.Interest in electric vehicles and battery technologies.Basic understanding of electrical circuits, measurements, and safety protocols.Hands-on mindset with ability to follow instructions accurately.Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and willingness to learn.Good communication and teamwork skills.BenefitsHands-on experience with cutting-edge EV battery systems.Mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to real-world EV operations.Stipend or compensation aligned with industry standards.Opportunity to contribute to Zeno’s mission in driving the trillion-dollar transition of two-wheelers to electric.
