Scope of Position

As account Director, you will be responsible for maximizing the revenue potential for Soneva Resorts in the Maldives and Thailand across the MICE, Wedding Planners and Corporate market segments.


You will focus on acquisition of new business, the retention of existing business, in line with company revenue goals. Working with Sales Managers and Country Directors of Sales across the world, you will report to the Country Director of Sales India in the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our targets.

Key Targets of Excellence

• Experience in MICE, Wedding Planners and Corporate market segments

• Passion for hospitality, ultra-luxury, wellness and barefoot luxury is a plus

Duties and essential job functions

• Work closely with the MICE accounts and Wedding Planners to drive sales in India through a structured proactive approach and regular content sharing including new offers, Soneva updates and seasonal campaigns

• Devise and implement proactive activities and events to drive brand preference amongst the MICE accounts, Wedding Planners and Corporate companies as well as selected partners

• Create enticing offers to boost sales and generate revenue across all Soneva resorts

• Proactive and enthusiast sales with clear targets to drive stronger growth in travel trade across India

• Leverage your existing network of HNWI’s to boost Soneva’s awareness in India

• Responsible for issuing promotions, packages, and internal calculations for all global special offers

• Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients

• Attend travel trade networking events to acquire new leads

• Prepare company contracts for the resort per current business and pricing conditions

• Work side by side with Sales team to coordinate efficient sales strategies

• Work as a team and assist in any required activity


Qualifications & Experience

  • Ultra luxury hospitality background - A minimum of 5 years handling MICE accounts, Wedding Planners and Corporate accounts.
  • Based in India, ideally Delhi or Mumbai – working remotely from home
  • Bachelor degree holder in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or related discipline
  • Existing network of MICE accounts, Wedding Planners and Corporate accounts
  • The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of intelligent luxury
