Position Overview: A Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and other clinical or administrative staff, into healthcare facilities. This role involves understanding the staffing needs of healthcare organizations, managing recruitment processes, and ensuring the selection of top talent to meet the needs of the industry. The recruiter will work closely with HR teams, hiring managers, and candidates to ensure a smooth hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR departments to understand staffing needs, job descriptions, and hiring goals for various healthcare positions.
  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize various recruiting platforms, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and staffing agencies.
  • Sourcing Candidates:
  • Source and attract healthcare candidates through a variety of channels (job postings, networking events, referrals, job fairs, etc.).
  • Leverage a strong understanding of the healthcare industry to identify and engage with potential candidates effectively.
  • Build and maintain a network of healthcare professionals for current and future openings.
  • Screening and Interviewing:
  • Review resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Evaluate candidates’ professional credentials, licenses, and certifications in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Perform reference checks and background screenings as part of the candidate vetting process.
  • Candidate Placement:
  • Present candidates to hiring managers, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions.
  • Ensure timely placement of candidates in suitable positions, keeping both the healthcare facility’s needs and the candidates' career goals in mind.
  • Negotiate compensation packages and job offers, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and candidate expectations.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, recruiting agencies, and academic institutions.
  • Provide guidance to candidates through the recruitment process, from initial contact to job placement.
  • Foster strong relationships with hiring managers and healthcare organizations to understand their staffing needs and improve recruitment strategies.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure that all hiring practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and healthcare industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, JCAHO, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records of candidates, interviews, and placements in HR systems.
  • Keep track of industry trends, staffing shortages, and new regulations that may affect the recruitment process.
  • Ongoing Support:
  • Provide ongoing support to both candidates and healthcare organizations during and after placement.
  • Monitor candidate satisfaction, track retention rates, and address any performance or behavioral issues when they arise.
  • Assist with onboarding activities and ensure new hires are properly integrated into their roles.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in recruiting for healthcare positions, staffing agencies, or HR roles.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare roles and industry-specific requirements.
  • Ability to effectively source, screen, and assess candidates.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Certifications: Certification in healthcare recruiting (e.g., Certified Healthcare Recruiter (CHCR)) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular office hours. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
  • May involve remote work or travel to healthcare facilities for recruitment purposes.
