About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to bridge the gap between art and engineering, ensuring that our game achieves the highest level of visual fidelity while remaining optimized and performant. You will collaborate closely with both the art and development teams to develop tools, pipelines, and workflows that streamline production and elevate the overall game experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize tools, scripts, and pipelines to enhance the efficiency of the art production process.
  • Work with the art and engineering teams to ensure assets are optimized for performance while maintaining visual quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to asset integration, performance, and engine limitations.
  • Implement shaders, visual effects, and other technical art solutions in game engines (Unity/Unreal).
  • Collaborate on lighting, rendering, and post-processing setups to achieve desired visual quality.
  • Optimize 3D models, textures, and animations to ensure the game runs smoothly across platforms.
  • Provide technical support for artists, solving problems related to tools and workflow inefficiencies.
  • Stay updated on new techniques, tools, and industry trends to continually improve the art pipeline.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
  • Strong knowledge of game engines (Unity/Unreal Engine) and their art pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, C#, or similar) for tool development and automation.
  • Experience with shaders and visual effects creation (HLSL/GLSL or node-based shader editors).
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation techniques.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques, including LODs, texture compression, and asset streaming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and efficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both artistic and technical teams.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with procedural content generation and tools like Houdini.
  • Knowledge of AR/VR technologies or mobile game optimization.
  • Experience with real-time rendering techniques and PBR (Physically Based Rendering) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with animation and rigging for technical support.
