Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Technical Artist with a strong focus on creating realistic 3D assets tailored for the fashion industry. This role will work closely with our design and engineering teams to bring Dopplr’s virtual fashion experiences to life with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a robust portfolio of 3D assets and a keen understanding of how to adapt these assets for various digital channels like social media, e-commerce platforms, and mobile apps.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize high-quality, realistic 3D models of apparel, accessories, and other fashion assets for various applications.
  • Develop light weight custom environments with the right light setup for real time rendering platforms
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure 3D assets are accurate representations of physical garments, reflecting materials, textures, and fit.
  • Focus on achieving lifelike visual fidelity for fabric details, texture, lighting, and other nuances critical to fashion assets.
  • Implement 3D assets into platforms, ensuring compatibility across social media, web, and app environments.
  • Continuously improve asset quality through regular testing, user feedback, and technology advancements.
  • Partner with product and marketing teams to create assets that drive customer engagement and align with Dopplr’s brand experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new software tools, and techniques in 3D fashion and augmented reality.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a 3D Artist with a focus on photorealistic fashion assets (3+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar, with an understanding of texturing software like Substance Painter.
  • Experience with real time fashion rendering workflows, materials, and shaders to accurately depict fabric and garment details.
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques for real-time rendering, ensuring high quality without compromising performance.
  • Familiarity with real time rendering engines
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work within brand guidelines and project deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multi-functional teams.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in augmented reality (AR) or virtual try-on technology.
  • Knowledge of character rigging and animation specific to fashion presentation.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce or social media-driven 3D asset production.
