The ARM GROUP is looking for a Marketing Head (General Manager) for our growing client located in Bellary, Karnataka.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Head (General Manager) to lead the sales and marketing functions for our TMT Bars Client in Karnataka. This is a senior management role requiring strategic vision, leadership, and a proven track record in the rolling mill or steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development, overseeing the sales team, coordinating with production teams, and enhancing brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Sales Leadership
- Drive business growth across Karnataka by identifying new markets and opportunities.
- Monitor and guide the performance of the sales team to ensure achievement of volume and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
2. Branding and Market Positioning
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance brand image and product positioning.
- Ensure consistent communication across all customer touchpoints through the dealer-distributor network.
3. Coordination with Production
- Collaborate with the production team for demand-based production planning.
- Align marketing strategies with production capabilities to meet customer and market demands.
4. Strategic Market Research
- Conduct market research to understand consumer needs, spending habits, and trends.
- Identify potential investment areas to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
5. Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to maximize customer and dealer satisfaction.
- Monitor marketing parameters such as pricing, distribution, and POS (Point of Sale) data for better positioning.
6. Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitor analysis, and performance metrics.
- Use insights to refine strategies and improve sales outcomes.
Required Profile
Experience and Skills:
- Industry Expertise: Marketing experience in a rolling mill or TMT bar industry in Karnataka, with a proven track record of achieving minimum production targets of 1 lakh tons per annum.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of product composition and technical specifications of TMT bars.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide a sales team towards achieving ambitious business goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Expertise in market research, strategy development, and consumer behavior analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with distributors, dealers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
