Monitoring SpecialistThis is a challenging role that requires expertise in system administration and monitoring. As a Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of complex systems.Solve complex problems across multiple platforms and services.Work at the forefront of new technology and modernization.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain IBM OMEGAMON suite.Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, thresholds, and custom views.Troubleshoot and resolve OMEGAMON-related issues.Work with application, database, network, and system administration teams to define monitoring requirements.Perform regular performance tuning and health checks on the monitoring infrastructure.Configure and manage automation scripts, alerting rules, and incident correlation mechanisms.Participate in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning using OMEGAMON insights.Provide reporting and documentation for system performance, usage, and incidents.Support audit and compliance initiatives by ensuring monitoring coverage and data retention policies are met.Train junior staff or operational teams on OMEGAMON usage and best practices.RequirementsMinimum 5 plus years of experience with IBM mainframe systems and monitoring tools.Familiarity with Tivoli Monitoring, PARMGEN configuration, and TEP.Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.Working knowledge of SMP/E, RACF, and JCL scripting.BenefitsA career in a rapidly evolving field with opportunities for growth and development.A chance to work with a team of experienced professionals who share your passion for system administration and monitoring.The opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.Preferred Technical and Professional ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Knowledge of other monitoring and automation tools.Understanding of ITIL practices and service management.Experience in batch job scheduling tools.Familiarity with modern IT monitoring dashboards and integrations.
