We are seeking Education Specialists to collaborate with our team to create high-quality assessment items aligned to state standards. The successful candidate will review content alignment and ensure the quality and accuracy for English Language Arts (ELA).Assessment Tasks:Developing assessment questions in the style of state test blueprints for ELA grades 3-8 and English I, across 7 grade levels, involving both AI-generated and author-created items.Skill Requirements:Evaluate questions for accuracy, relevance, and rigor, ensuring alignment to standards and/or Unpacked Standards Measurable Objectives (USMOs).Review each question for content accuracy and clarity, identifying errors, ambiguities, or language/phrasing not suitable for the grade level.Ensure pedagogical relevance by assessing the intended skill in the most effective way for the specific standard.Rigorously assess that the question aligns accurately with the DOK level needed, has clear answers, and distractors that are plausible.Adhere to client guidelines for assessment items and passages.Align to Common Core standards for ELA specific to the grade and USMOs, identifying misalignment for correction.Requirements:Proven expertise as an Education Specialist in ELA instruction (Grade 3-8 and HS English I content level).Demonstrated experience authoring high-quality, rigorous assessment items for state or standardized testing.Strong understanding of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels and experience authoring questions at DOK Level 2 and DOK Level 3.Familiarity with various question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, short-answer, fill-in-the-blanks, matching lists, choice matrices, etc.High accuracy and turnaround time, required for this project.Benefits:This is a short project requiring candidates to meet tight deadlines.
