This critical role is responsible for ensuring the organization's ability to effectively anticipate, mitigate, and adapt to operational risks while maintaining business continuity and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement operational risk policies and procedures, aligning with regulatory expectations and organizational objectives.Foster a proactive risk culture across all business lines, promoting operational excellence and resilience.Maintain the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) in alignment with enterprise risk strategy, driving quality assurance and governance consistency.Cultivate robust partnerships with regulators, industry groups, and internal stakeholders to influence policy development and risk management best practices.Leadership Requirements:Drive cross-functional solutions for complex, high-impact operational risk scenarios, ensuring organizational alignment and proactive resolution.Act as a trusted advisor to business units on operational risk matters, providing expert guidance and support.Operational Excellence:Lead initiatives that improve client experiences through operational excellence and risk management innovation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement preventive and corrective controls, ensuring seamless integration of operational risk strategies with the organization's broader risk appetite and corporate objectives.Talent Development:Foster a high-performing team by mentoring and developing talent within the Operational Risk and Enterprise Resilience Governance function.Promote a strong risk culture across the organization through training, awareness campaigns, and active engagement.This senior leadership role requires a minimum 15+ years of experience in operational risk, resilience, or a related domain within global financial services. Strong executive presence, influential skills, and expertise in Basel II/III/IV, local regulatory frameworks, and banking operations are essential.
