Deputy General Manager – Digital Partnerships & Alliances

Republic Media Network is on the lookout for a deeply passionate, self motivated and ambitious professional to join our team as Deputy General Manager – Digital Partnerships & Alliances for our digital news business. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of target setting and delivery , combined with exceptional leadership skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams including content, SEO, design, and technology.

You will be responsible for enhancing current partnerships, fostering new alliances, and building a seamless pipeline between Republic, India’s number one news platform, and global content hosting and distribution platforms. This role demands a seasoned expert with strong domain knowledge of ad insertions across CTV platforms, OTTs, YouTube, and other digital alliances, ensuring these do not interfere with user experience or diminish content quality.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships : Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with digital publishing platforms, OTT services, CTV distribution channels, and YouTube, ensuring Republic’s content reaches its maximum potential audience.
Ad Monetization & User Experience : Design and oversee ad insertion strategies across platforms, ensuring seamless delivery that does not compromise user experience or content quality.
Target Setting & Delivery : Define and achieve ambitious goals for partnership growth, aligning with organizational objectives and fostering a results-driven culture.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with content, SEO, and technology teams to create innovative and effective solutions for content distribution and monetization.
Enhance Current Alliances : Optimize existing partnerships for greater mutual benefit, ensuring sustained growth and impact.
Proactive Partner Outreach : Identify and onboard new partners in the ever-evolving digital distribution ecosystem, ensuring Republic remains ahead of market trends.
Innovation & Scalability : Develop creative and scalable partnership models that align with the organization’s growth strategy and market demands.
Performance Tracking : Monitor partnership performance, analyze data-driven insights, and recommend actionable strategies for improvement.
Global Expansion : Strengthen Republic’s footprint in international markets through strategic partnerships with global content hosting and distribution platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise:

Proven track record in digital news publishing or video-based content services, with a mandatory requirement for all candidates bringing with them prior experience of working alongside OTT platforms, CTV distribution channels, and social media platforms .
Strong domain knowledge of ad monetization strategies that prioritize business goals alongside user experience, design vision and content quality.
Passionate & Aggressive: A results-driven professional with a relentless drive to achieve and exceed targets while maintaining the organization’s interests at the core.
Collaborative Leader : Exceptional ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams, including content, SEO, and technology, to deliver cohesive and impactful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in partnerships and alliances roles within the digital media, OTT, or CTV space.
Demonstrated success in managing content distribution and ad monetization strategies across multiple platforms.
In-depth knowledge of the digital publishing and video streaming landscape, both in India and internationally.
