DescriptionManage the team and processes to ensure the preparation and checking of documents, reports and other technical outputs/deliverables from a variety of Energy related disciplines meet internal and client requirements and quality assurance standards.Provide highly visible, inspirational leadership and direction for the iCRC Energy team and ensuring that it is aligned with the wider UK Energy businessMonitor and review team capability in the use of the required standards, processes and software tools and, with technical colleagues, identify training requiredIdentify opportunities to upskill existing technical resources or recruit new capabilities to deliver additional services or enhance existing onesIdentify further skills that could be brought into the iCRC to deliver additional services or enhancements to various businessesPromote the team's achievements within the team, Energy, WSP UK and the wider business via targeted profile raising activitiesEnsuring that the Business Management System is implemented and maintainedSeek regular feedback on team performances, ensure any negative feedback is positively converted into opportunities for improvementDevelop / maintain excellent relationships ensuring repeat business and client satisfaction, internally and externally Contribution to bids and marketing materialContribute to the design of operational processes, systems, quality measurement processes and achievement of KPIsEnsure process and governance such that all projects comply with relevant standards - Health and Safety, CDM and Quality Assurance etcCarry out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implement corrective measures where requiredCreate all associated Engineering Design calculations and documentation.Support the creation of all necessary material bill of quantity schedules.Attend site meetings (virtual) and provide ongoing design drawing changes / support as required during project build.Reviewing designs produced by suppliers and clients to ensure designs are technically compliant and in line with current legislation and policies. Project Coordination: Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects. Client Focus: Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers on moderately complex projects and may determine the key clients in some instancesCommunicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on moderately complex projectsKnowledge of all applicable engineering standards.QualificationsWE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVEProven experience in the design of UK Substationsat any voltage up to 400kV.Bachelor's in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering
