Structural designer

CASA is a modular construction company, transforming the construction landscape and elevating the living experience. Stemming from a desire for intelligent, sustainable and superior living experience, CASA is addressing the rising urbanization demand of India’s infrastructure and housing needs by building structures upto 6 floors at a supersonic speed (within 90 days) which are 2X stronger with almost zero wastages and disturbances to the surrounding and nature. It is also designed to ensure minimum energy consumption with net zero smart buildings by adopting collaborative design, manufacturing and assembly processes under the same roof. The only technology which can be fully built in factories integrating the material innovation, software and hardware embedment to give a smarter and more personalized living experience.

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with CAD detailers to incorporate inputs into the precast conceptual layout.
- Ensure a seamless transition from conceptual ideas to the structural design phase.
- Utilize ETABS to develop comprehensive and accurate structural models.
- Perform detailed analysis of structural elements based on applied loads, adhering to relevant IS codes.
- Identify and address structural challenges to optimize designs for efficiency and safety.
- Design foundations through principled calculations, considering information from Soil Engineering Reports.
- Ensure that foundation designs meet structural requirements and comply with industry standards.
- Provide clear and comprehensive design outputs to CAD detailers for the development of drawings and construction details.
- Maintain effective communication channels to address design-related queries or modifications during the detailing process.
- Report progress and issues promptly to the Head of Design, ensuring a smooth and fluid design process.
- Provide updates on project milestones, challenges, and potential risks that may impact timelines.
- Identify potential issues in the design phase and report them in advance.
- Collaborate with reporting managers and senior management to develop action plans to address and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in structural design and analysis, with a focus on precast concrete structures.
- Proficiency in ETABS is a must.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant IS codes and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering accurate and efficient design solutions.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and report potential issues.

Duration: Full time Employment opportunity with a probation period of 3 months.
