Job OverviewThe successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and technical expertise in the company's operations, specifically within the plant and machinery department. They will oversee key personnel, collaborate with various teams, and make crucial decisions.ResponsibilitiesExperience in managing high-rise tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, and other equipment.Implementation of methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.Inventory management and cost optimization of spare parts, as well as sourcing and training of plant and machinery operators and mechanics.Generation of local management information systems (MIS) for mechanical heads at headquarters or project incharge.Maintenance of site records, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.Preparation of budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring them on a monthly basis.Training personnel on safe equipment use and repair/servicing procedures.Optimization of plant and machinery usage corresponding to their rated productivity output.Minimizing equipment breakdowns and maximizing equipment availability at sites.Development of service schedules based on hours/km running and strict implementation thereof.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong leadership skills.
