Job Title: Chatbot Natural Language Processing (NLP) Trainer


Location: Remote (Eastern Standard Time preferred)


Start Date: As soon as possible


Duration: Approved For 12 Months (will likely extend) - ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE CONFORTABLE WORKING IN A CONTRACT MODEL - THIS WILL BE 40 HOURS OF WORK AND ALLIGNS WITH FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT BUT THE POSITION IS ONLY APPROVED FOR A YEAR



Pay Range and Compensation Package: Total compensation ranges from 17 lakhs - 22 lakhs per annum, based on experience on CTC


Notice Period: Only accepting candidates who can start immediately

About Us: Join our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the performance and accuracy of our AI chatbot. We need a talented NLP Trainer to help us achieve this goal. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of user interactions, ensuring our chatbot is contextually aware and highly effective.




Position Summary: We are seeking a Chatbot NLP Trainer to refine and expand our chatbot’s training data. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to optimize the model’s intents and entities, improving its understanding and intent classification.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate, organize, and annotate datasets for training and testing chatbot responses, ensuring accurate recognition of user intents, entities, and contextual nuances.
  • Identify gaps or errors in the chatbot’s current patterns and provide insights to enhance the NLP model’s effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the chatbot’s performance through testing and user feedback, making data-driven recommendations to refine its understanding and improve response accuracy.
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers to provide feedback on model performance and assist in iterating on the NLP model training pipeline.
  • Perform quality checks and various types of testing (e.g., k-fold, blind) to assess the model’s intent classification accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working with NLP models and/or chatbots.
  • Knowledge of AI/chatbot development landscape, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience in training or improving chatbot training data and using various testing methods to evaluate intent classification accuracy.
  • Familiarity with conversational AI best practices.
  • Experience with CICD, Git, unit-testing, and source code management.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of DevOps approaches, end-to-end software development processes, and business requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IBM Watson Assistant.
  • Experience with IBM Voice Gateway and/or IBM Discovery.
  • Knowledge of automated speech recognition, including SSML tagging for TTS.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
