Security Manager PositionDescription:The Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring overall security and vigilance across various operational areas, including terminals, plants, and jetty operations.Main Responsibilities:Security Operations & Surveillance:Lead and manage security operations to ensure 24x7 surveillance through CCTV, access control systems, and patrolling.Implement security protocols for entry/exit of vehicles, materials, and personnel to prevent theft, unauthorized access, and damage to assets.Manpower Management:Supervise security teams, including guards, supervisors, and contracted security staff.Plan deployment as per operational needs and conduct regular briefings/drills to maintain discipline, grooming, training, and performance monitoring of security staff.Compliance & Documentation:Maintain compliance with ISPS Code, port security norms, and statutory guidelines.Prepare incident reports, MIS, daily/weekly/monthly security reports, and ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Emergency Response & Crisis Management:Lead emergency response for fire, medical emergencies, cargo issues, or security breaches.Conduct mock drills, risk assessments, and vulnerability studies to ensure preparedness.Coordination with External Agencies:Liaise with local police, CISF, port authorities, Coast Guard, and district administration.Handle legal/security investigations, FIRs, and regulatory inspections.Asset Protection & Loss Prevention:Conduct audits of critical assets, warehouses, coal stockyards, conveyors, and equipment to identify vulnerabilities.Monitor high-risk zones, including jetty operations, weighbridges, truck movement, and shift operations.
