Job Summary:

The Salesforce CPQ Specialist is responsible for implementing, customizing, and supporting the Salesforce CPQ platform to streamline the quote-to-cash process. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, sales teams, and technical teams to configure pricing, quoting, and contract management solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure & Customize CPQ: Set up Salesforce CPQ solutions, including product configuration, pricing, discount rules, and quote templates.
  • Integration & Automation: Work on Salesforce CPQ integrations with other platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM) to automate and optimize the sales process.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and upgrade Salesforce CPQ configurations to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • User Training & Support: Provide training and support to end users to ensure efficient use of the Salesforce CPQ platform.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize the existing CPQ processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and drive faster quote approvals.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and user training materials.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct system testing, troubleshoot errors, and provide ongoing support for new features and functionality.


Experience

  • 4-8 years of experience in Salesforce administration with specific experience in Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or other Salesforce modules is a plus.
  • Certifications:
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification is preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer Certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ configuration, pricing rules, quote templates, and custom objects.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning (optional but highly preferred for developer roles).
  • Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Dell Boomi) and knowledge of APIs and web services.
  • Business Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the quote-to-cash (QTC) process.
  • Ability to work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to understand their needs and improve system functionality.
