Job Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Azure Infrastructure Architect with over 10 years of expertise designing and implementing enterprise-level cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based infrastructure solutions that align with business needs and technology goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide Azure cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Architect and design highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster recovery solutions in Microsoft Azure, utilizing best practices for infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on Azure infrastructure best practices, including networking, storage, computing, and security components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective, cloud-based infrastructure designs.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms that optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure reference architectures, automation scripts, and deployment templates (ARM, Terraform, etc.).
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems and applications to Azure cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimized performance.
- Establish and enforce security standards and best practices for cloud deployments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform cost analysis and optimization strategies to ensure that the organization’s Azure infrastructure remains within budget.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior team members on cloud architecture and Azure best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Azure and cloud technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure management, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, with a deep understanding of Azure services including Azure VMs, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, and Azure Security.
- Solid experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies in Azure.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure automation using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, or PowerShell.
- Proven experience with Azure networking, security architecture, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in Azure monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application architectures.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices in Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Infrastructure Architect are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in migrating on-premise infrastructure to Azure cloud.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments, including integration with on-premise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
