Job Title: QA Practice Lead

Job Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 12+ years


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to craft and execute test plans to maximize test coverage, release velocity and production health.
  • Complete ownership for preparing test automation solution, designing automation frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution for the large-scale enterprises.
  • Experience in end to end project management wrt all the stages of testing along with functional and NFRs
  • Experience in API/Microservices Testing & Automation using Rest Assured, Postman
  • Expertise in driving the shift left in new ways of working, Agile/DevOps
  • Establish and lead the Testing Practice within the company, including the development of a strategic roadmap for testing capabilities.
  • Define and implement testing methodologies, standards, and processes that align with industry best practices and business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques, tools, processes and practices to improve automation efficiency.
  • Very good experience in investigating and resolving issues related to automation scripts, frameworks, and processes, hence reducing escapes
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to automation, such as test coverage, defect density, and execution time.
  • Provide detailed reports on test automation activities, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate automation strategies, progress, and results to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks in automation testing and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that critical functionalities are consistently tested and validated through automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate efficiently with different business units, products, offshore & onshore teams and bridge the communication gaps

Skills:

  • Overall 12+ years of QA experience and minimum 5+ years of test automation experience
  • Hands on experience in implementing testing strategies for diversified environments like Mobile/Desktop/Web/Api/Integration
  • The candidate should have automation skills like Selenium, Playwright, Webdriver.io, Appium or similar.
  • Excellent experience in developing automation frameworks such as BDD, Data-Driven, Hybrid frameworks using multiple programming languages and experience with tools such as Cucumber, SpecFlow and Behave.
  • Strong working experience using programming languages such as Java, C#, Javascript, Python.
  • Experience in automated API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Rest Sharp, SuperTest or similar.
  • Strong understanding of GIT and versioning.
  • Experience in CI/CD with knowledge on Configuration, Build, Release management using any of the tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, BitBucket.
  • Should be able to draft, distribute, and socialize formal documents such as project reports, artefacts, and knowledge bases.
  • Experience in various agile project activities and techniques such as stand-ups, iteration planning and execution, Kanban card walls and retrospectives.
