Job Title: Reefer Maintenance Manager/ Depot Manager
Location: Uran Navi Mumbai
Department: Maintenance

Job Summary:
The Reefer Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance, quality assurance, and compliance of reefer containers to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role requires strategic planning, technical expertise, and leadership to manage inspection, maintenance, and inventory operations effectively while adhering to international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Buying Containers Inspection
Implement and manage thorough inspection protocols for purchased containers.
Ensure compliance with IICL (International Institute of Container Lessors) standards.
Conduct quality assessments and generate detailed reports for all purchased containers.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure adherence to international quality standards.

2. Maintenance Planning and Execution
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Coordinate and monitor all scheduled maintenance activities for reefer units.
Optimize maintenance costs, ensuring they do not exceed 15% of total operational expenses.

3. Quality and Compliance Assurance
Ensure all reefer units comply with IICL standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic compliance audits and ensure no major findings.
Maintain up-to-date quarterly compliance audit reports.

4. Technical Expertise and Training
Lead initiatives to improve technician proficiency and skill sets.
Conduct and document training sessions, certifications, and compliance programs.
Gather and analyze feedback on training effectiveness and adjust programs accordingly.

5. Inventory and Spare Parts Management
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of critical spare parts to prevent stock-outs.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely procurement of parts within a 3-day turnaround.
Analyze spare parts usage trends and optimize procurement costs.

6. Emergency Response and Contingency Planning
Develop and implement emergency response protocols and ensure timely action during incidents.
Conduct regular simulations and drills to improve response efficiency.
Document lessons learned from emergencies and update contingency plans accordingly.

7. Customer Satisfaction
Address maintenance-related customer complaints promptly, ensuring resolution within SLAs.
Achieve a customer satisfaction rating of over 90% through proactive and responsive service.
Conduct periodic customer satisfaction surveys to identify and address areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in reefer container maintenance or a similar role.
Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and maintenance planning tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
