Responsibilities and Duties:

Proven experience of running FPO Programs successfully,  especially the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations program.

  • Overall Project Management: Oversee all FPOs being promoted across India, including project management, team leadership, budget management, and adherence to timelines.
  • Government and other Stakeholder Management: Manage government and funder relationships under the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations program and ensure proper handover of the project, and ensure meeting of all milestones and collection of funds from the government. 
  • Market Linkage and Business Development: Facilitate market linkages and business development efforts, connecting FPOs with buyers and sellers
  • Sustainable Agriculture Promotion: Drive the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices within existing SwitchON FPOs as well as other FPOs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare official documents, reports, periodic statements, and Management Information System (MIS) reports for each project. Ensure proactive communication with PI’s, Govet, stakeholders and funders.
  • Performance Management: Implement and monitor a performance management system and MIS to measure, report, analyze, and continually enhance project deliverables.
  • Project Business Development: Take ownership of organizational growth and project development. Lead the creation of large-scale project proposals.
  • Partnership Development: Develop and manage partnerships with government agencies, multilateral agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Performance Assessment and Reporting: Proactively assess organizational performance against success metrics on a regular basis. Generate comprehensive reports for management review.
  • Capacity Building: Develop and implement training programs to build the capacity of FPO members and staff, enhancing their skills in areas such as governance, business management, and market operations.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a program manager in FPO promotion especially in the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations program
  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, bookkeeping, and reporting.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and efficient.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.


Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the MExecutive Director and will manage a team of 5-7 direct reportees and over 40 indirect reports


Experience: 10+ years

Annual CTC: Up to INR 15 Lakh (Compensation package will be in line with qualification, experience, and last salary drawn)

Performance-based incentives will also be provided based on achieving procurement and sales targets.
