About the Function:
The role incumbent will be a part of Holiday Supply team supporting the holidays business. With an earnest understanding of Indian consumers travel preferences, the Holidays team offers a vast range of holiday packages for destinations across the world. This business caters to various segments of travelers travelling to every part of the globe. While the dynamic or customized travel and tour packages offer consumers an option to create and design their own holiday, the fixed departure holiday packages have a predesigned itinerary. Holidays Supply team manages supply from independent hotels, chain hotels, Destination Management Companies across International markets. Leading in a highly competitive market is the goal to success.
About the Role:
This role is a critical part of the business development management team in the Holiday Supply Function. The incumbent will lead the International Supply team, building the supply eco-system with competitive rates and inventory. The incumbent will provide assistance in portfolio analysis and insights, as well as manage the team's operational tasks. This role will also involve coordinating with partners and ensuring seamless relationship building with them.
What will you be doing:
Relationship & Key Account Management
- As a Supply Lead, your key responsibilities will include extending exceptional efforts to ensure MakeMyTrip attains and maintains a market leadership position in international market.
- Proactively identify market opportunities, develop strategies, and implement plans to effectively seize these opportunities and ensure we achieve or exceed supply targets.
- Collaborate with partners in the portfolio and providing expertise, metrics, analysis, and recommendations based on the industry's best practices will be essential. The role will involve traveling across various cities to meet relevant decision-makers.
Portfolio Management and Driving Growth for units
- Review monthly production reports and provide feedback to on-ground supply teams. Plan and execute market visits, and conduct review meetings (both virtually and in person) to discuss monthly performance.
- Build review reports, share insights on the market with on-ground supply managers, and perform competitive set analysis to drive growth for the units, ensure adequate inventory availability and price competitiveness throughout the year.
Negotiation Skills
- Networking, initiating deals, negotiating, and closing deals with partners will be key tasks.
- Strategizing to market the properties better and making exclusive deals with partners to ensure a competitive edge for MMT.
Operational Excellence
- Support and drive sustainable performance of your respective portfolio.
- Manage the operational work-tasks of account management end-to-end and ensure smooth coordination and collaboration with internal stakeholders such as category, revenue teams, online operations, finance and external stakeholders like partners and tourism boards.
Inventory Management & Oversight
- Track inventory levels as per business plans and maintain optimum inventory levels according to market demand.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Share insights on the market and industry with clients and internal stakeholders and respond to data and report-related queries from internal stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree from a reputed institute with 10-15 years of related experience in travel industry.

- In depth Understanding of International markets and destinations.
- High on energy, team player coupled with a great attitude.
