Job OverviewThe IT Service Management Specialist is a critical role that provides support for the Managed Services tool sets and supporting processes and procedures.This position entails providing daily support for operational needs and managing ticket distribution to ensure all client access management requests are handled on time.This specialist will have a solid background in supporting external customer-facing systems and an understanding of IT service management principles and best practices.Responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert with respect to technical and functional design requirements, general data concepts, mapping, and relationships.Troubleshooting and fixing issues related to Service Now is also key.The ideal candidate will provide administrative support for users, roles, and groups.They must also be able to provide technical support for the existing ServiceNow environments, applications, and modules.Maintaining and reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of all ITSM processes is essential.This individual will support upgrades and evolution of ServiceNow.Monitoring assignment group queues in ServiceNow and proactively assuming ownership of incidents and requests is also required.This specialist will work with other members of the Platform team on an as-needed basis to ensure that the design and processes meet technical requirements.Validating Service request requirements and working them to completion in ServiceNow is crucial.Participating with operational teams to identify enhancement opportunities for improvement and working to implement enhancements is also important.Key QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a solid background in supporting external customer-facing systems and an understanding of IT service management principles and best practices.Subject matter expertise in technical and functional design requirements, general data concepts, mapping, and relationships.Troubleshooting and fixing issues related to Service Now.Administrative support for users, roles, and groups.Technical support for existing ServiceNow environments, applications, and modules.Maintaining and reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of all ITSM processes.Supporting upgrades and evolution of ServiceNow.Monitoring assignment group queues in ServiceNow and proactively assuming ownership of incidents and requests.Working with the Platform team to ensure design and processes meet technical requirements.Validating Service request requirements and working them to completion in ServiceNow.Participating with operational teams to identify enhancement opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements.
