Sales Strategy Manager

Role Summary:
The Channel Sales Strategy Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing an effective channel strategy to drive the growth and penetration of Reliance Solar Power solutions across target markets. This role involves managing and expanding channel partner relationships, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring consistent achievement of revenue and growth targets through a well-defined partner ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel Strategy Development & Implementation
- Design and execute the channel sales strategy to expand Reliance Solar Power's market presence.
- Identify, onboard, and nurture channel partners (distributors, dealers, and integrators) to increase sales reach.
- Develop incentive programs, pricing models, and promotional offers to boost channel performance.
2. Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners to ensure alignment with sales goals.
- Provide training, product knowledge, and ongoing support to channel partners to enhance their capabilities.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and set clear KPIs to monitor partner effectiveness.
3. Market Expansion & Penetration
- Identify new market segments and geographic areas for business growth through channel partners.
- Develop strategies to penetrate rural, semi-urban, and urban areas to accelerate the adoption of solar solutions.
- Leverage data analytics and market research to optimize channel sales efforts.
4. Sales Forecasting & Target Achievement
- Set sales targets and monitor channel performance to ensure revenue and volume goals are met.
- Track sales data and generate reports to analyze the effectiveness of various channel initiatives.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to streamline sales processes.
5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the marketing team to create go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and sales enablement tools.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to address customer needs and improve product offerings.
- Liaise with the legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
6. Process Optimization & Compliance
- Continuously evaluate and refine channel management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all channel operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in channel sales, sales strategy, or business development, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
- Proven track record of managing channel partners and achieving growth targets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of channel sales models and strategies.
- Ability to build, nurture, and manage long-term partner relationships.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and data-driven decision-making.
- Understanding of solar power systems, solutions, and industry trends.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
