Job Title: Global Mobility Advisor /Human ResourcePurpose of the role  The Global Mobility Advisor is responsible for the end-to-end management of international assignments and international transfers.It is the role of the individual to support assignees and Business Line Managers throughout the relocation process providing an excellent employee experience in line with the Groups international assignment policies, while ensuring all international moves comply with the legal and regulatory requirements of the respective locations.The Global Mobility Advisor will advise on the Global Mobility policies, assignment costs, relocation and end of assignment processesThe role holder will provide project management support within Global Mobility on ad hoc projects.The role holder should be a subject matter expert on mobility issues with the ability to take full ownership for their work and will be expected to drive process improvement and ownership locally. Ability to advise on and manage complex mobility matters such as cross border working, global termination advice and troubleshooting.In this role, you will:Business facing role responsible for providing advice and consulting on all global mobility move types at HSBC.Required to provide advice on policy selection, tax and immigration implications of proposed international moves.Work with the global GM team to ensure consistency of service of global vendors, and that SLAs are met.Ensures no global mobility activity commences without appropriate business approval.Responsible for the relationship management of an international assignee and international transfer population – both long-term and short-term globally, taking overall responsibility for them throughout the assignment life cycle. Working closely with the outsourced provider to ensure services are delivered on a timely basis to an excellent standard.Promotes the use of the vendor-hosted technology platforms to assist GM in delivering a consistent assignee experience, ensuring enhanced service delivery, and maintaining cost control, efficiency & compliance   The job holder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.Observation of Internal Controls:The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.Leadership & Teamwork  As part of the GM Advisory team, provide support and coaching to GM Advisor Support team as and when required Drive high quality of client service for business leads and stakeholdersIdentify areas for improvement in client deliveryTo be successful you will:Experience of working in Global Mobility (in-house or Big 4) role for at least 4 to 6 yearsExperience of delivering advisory services around international expatriate personal tax and social securityProven analytical skills (via Microsoft excel/PowerPoint experience)..Willing to work shift patternGraduate – University degree.6+yrs in overall operations with 2+yrs as Manager Operations for relevant Data / Voice processes.Strategic vision with ability to meet challenging environment.Excellent analytical skills, Numerical skills including, MS Power Point and MS Excel.Relationship management skills.Comprehensive knowledge of Global Mobility and International Assignment policies is required.Strong Focus on staff development and driving Process efficiencies.Self-driven & showcase good leadership traits.Interpersonal and negotiation skillsOthersGlobal Mobility touches every country and business in the group, plus many other internal stakeholders, both within and outside of HR, plus external stakeholders, authorities, and vendors – the management of these connections is challenging with a constantly changing legislative framework, business environment and vendor landscape.Global Mobility is supported by a global team, with global policies, core processes, systems, vendors, and operating structures.You'll achieve more at HSBC HSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
