Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Harness Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and development of vehicle harnesses, with a deep understanding of automotive electrical systems and proficiency in using Capital Harness Wiring Design tools. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of vehicle harnesses, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Capital Harness Tools: Utilize Capital Harness, Capital XC, or Capital Logic tools for wiring design, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in harness development.
  • Automotive Electrical Systems: Apply a thorough understanding of automotive electrical systems to design schematics for vehicle end-to-end functions.
  • Simulation Tools: Use schematics simulation tools for fuse rating, wire size calculations, and other critical parameters to ensure the reliability and safety of the harness designs.
  • ECU Topologies: ECU topologies, vehicle schematics, power distribution, and grounding topologies.
  • Hardware Interfaces: Demonstrate strong knowledge of hardware interfaces with electrical components, ensuring seamless integration within the vehicle’s electrical system.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team and across functional departments to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Communication: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to document designs, present findings, and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in the design and development of vehicle harnesses.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Capital Harness Wiring Design tools (Capital Harness, Capital XC, or Capital Logic).


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with schematics simulation tools for fuse rating and wire size calculations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
